Drums On Paper III – Opening Night

Drums On Paper III – Opening Night
February 20, 2017 cemkocy

The opening reception of Drums On Paper III was on January 27, at Ground Floor Gallery in Park Slope. We have released 17 prints from 17 artists to celebrate the beginning of 2017. Each print is a limited edition of 30 and only 10 of them are available for the public. The rest of the prints will go to our participating artists as a portfolio exchange. We are so excited about our new system of sharing which allows every artist to become a collector of their contemporaries. Since English is not my first language, I also want to put the definition of contemporaries here:

con·tem·po·rar·y
kənˈtempəˌrerē/
noun, plural noun: contemporaries
a person or thing living or existing at the same time as another.
“he was a contemporary of Darwin”

The beer served at the reception was home-brew by Ben Cowan at his Brooklyn studio, a few blocks away from Ground Floor Gallery. Porter by Ben Cowan quickly became one of our favorite beers: Smooth dark and roasty with a sweeter fruity note finish, dark and rich, yet easy to drink! If you ever get a chance to go to an opening where Ben Cowan is exhibiting his work and serving his beer, don’t miss the opportunity. Every opening has a different taste with a different type of home brew by Cowan.
