The Self-Publishing Artist Program can provide a range of benefits for your creative practice. No matter how you choose to use the Self-Publishing Artist Program, it offers a convenient and cost-effective way to share your work with a larger audience and grow as an artist. Here are a few ideas we can think of:

  • Do periodic Print Launches or “Limited Edition Drops”, creating a sense of excitement and exclusivity around your work.
  • Test out new ideas or projects – by producing a small edition of prints, you can get a sense of how your work is received without committing to a larger print run.
  • Add physical elements to send to your Patreon supporters as a special thank-you for their support.
  • Start your own print subscription using the program, providing a reliable recurring revenue stream and staying in the minds of your collectors and supporters year round. With a subscription of your own, you can offset some of the costs of your art practice and potentially even turn a profit. (Have questions about starting your own subscription? Hit us up and we can help you set up.)

These are just a few examples of ways you can use the Self-Publishing Artist Program. We know that every artist has a different path, so there are many ways how you may benefit printing your work periodically.

Self-Publishing art work is very empowering for artists. We have been publishing art as limited edition prints for over 5 years, and we want other artists to have easy access to Risograph printing too. So we started our Self-Publishing Artist Membership for artists and other creatives. Now you can publish new work every month, and you don't have to be in the printshop to do so. We have worked with more than 60 artists who create with a wide variety of different techniques.

Artists will get 50 copies of a 1-2 color print of their own work, beautifully Risograph printed and shipped to them every month for only $70/month with the membership. Regular printing price is $115 for 50 copies with 2 colors.

Derrick Schultz collaborates with computers to create his work. Derrick uses code to stretch pixels in different directions on images he selects from books, mainly on scientific literature. Once the computer is done manipulating pixels, Derrick goes through the images to pick his favorites and creates different layers with them. Each layer is used to print different colors on our Risograph printer using all of our color drums.
